素晴しいアルバムを一枚紹介したいと思います。『Make Some Noise: The Amnesty International Campaign to Save Darfur』です。

Amnesty International のチャリティー・プロジェクトの一環として発売された John Lennon のカヴァー集です。

Darfur（ダルフール）はスーダン西部の国で、２つの反政府組織の対立の末に多くの人々が略奪と殺害という悲劇に巻き込まれており、人権問題が大きく訴えられています。

これらの人々を救うことを目的としてこのアルバムは製作されたのです・・・。

国内盤の帯には グリーン・デイ 、U2、R.E.M. 、アヴリル・ラヴィーン他 とありますが、まだまだ注目のアーティストが多数参加しています。

Jack Johnson が Imagine を、そして Beｎ Harper が Beautiful Boy を Disc 2 の３、４曲目で唄っているのは感動モノですが、The Cure の ゴスロック調のLove もなかなかです。

Black Eyed Peas や Youssou N'Dour なんかも入っています。

私の好みを知っているかのようなラインナップにはかなり驚きました。
